I am a memorybank of numbers...
Master what?
So Verwin's doin the master cleanse(aka the lemonade diet) again. I've been reading up on it as much as I can because I just couldn't see how preventing yourself from eating ANY solid food for an extended period of time, usually 7-10 days, could be healthy for you. But in most of the research I've done, there seem to be no ill side-effects, it seems to be a way of curing illness as well as a cleansing process, as they describe it, much like changing your oil. It is NOT a weightloss diet, though that is one of the healthy side effects of the diet(but I think you lose mostly water weight and probably gain some back when resuming back to normal life). They suggest to do it 3-4 times a year... However, I have not been able to find anywhere if you can do this diet while training or working out and stuff...because in some cases people do feel weaker a bit when they're on the master cleanse. "..most people can go about their regular business, " I don't know if training for the mud run would constitute as regular business. I'm planning on asking my doctor about it, just to see what she says about the diet itself. It is definitely interesting though...one of the biggest turnoffs though is that they just talk a lot about the diet affecting the way you eat, like you shouldn't eat any meat or whatever...mostly raw fruit and vegetable diets...as a food lover, I don't think I can ever totally not eat any meat or any of that good food I know and love, he he he. More to come on this at a later date...
No more John Hancocks?
Visa is implementing a new policy that will not require signatures for small purchases made with visa cards under $25. It is more convenient to the customer(though taking off 5-10 seconds because they dont' have to sign anymore isn't that big of a deal to me), and there is no real security risk by not requiring the siggies on these purchases because they have figured that criminals will not go to the grocery store w/ your stolen credit card and buy bananas, milk, and cereal. I know that starbucks was already doing this cuz I made a purchase a little while back and they didn't need my signature when I used my cc. You know? Criminals have got it all wrong. They think too big time...well, for the credit card thing it makes sense, becuase the person who lost their cc or had it stolen is gonna report it right away that their card was stolen and therefore the criminal has to buy as much as he/she can with the card before it gets frozen, therefore buying big ticket items. But let's say like counterfeit money: Why make fifties and hundreds and big bills like that? If I were counterfeiting, I would make like 1's 5's and 10's. I'd be a small market crook, cuz those daily expenses add up man, I could easily be saving myself 500-600 a month, just on things like gas, groceries, eating, etc. Over the long run, that would really add up. And no one would be the wiser...he he he.
